Working on a short story for an anthology at Red Rose Publishing

I just finished editing a short story for a collection of love stories on love later in life. This book will be published by Red Rose Publishing. My short story involves romance and time travel. I've always been fascinated by the fantasy of time travel and while on a mini retreat at a bed and breakfast one weekend with a friend, this story came out. I look forward to seeing the book come out in print. I'll keep you posted.

Currently I'm working on editing a short story on love later in life for an anthology by Red Rose Publishing. It's going to be published in the fall of this year. Writing for the newspaper has kept me really busy lately. I'm also writing for a teacher magazine and have been giving talks and holding book signings for my two poetry books. Life is good. I'm also editing a short story for a humor anthology that is going to be published.

Awareness

A new book is coming out at MS Fiction that honors cancer survivors. A group romance authors came together to write stories in order to raise money for Susan G. Komen cancer research. Phyllis Johnson has a poem included that was written in memory of her father. It is a touching poem. Read the stories for a heartwarming experience. Coming soon!

On Best Seller at Red Rose Pub- Pickup Lines from a Pickup Truck

The short stories I co-wrote with Spike Fremont are on the best seller list at Red Rose Publishing online. Cool beans. He just told me about it tonight. That always makes you feel good
to see your work up on a list like that. Especially a best selling list. Made my night, that's for sure.

Another thrill for me this month... I was at a book signing where Merlicious 3 was sold. My mermaid story was in it. The story title is Through Thick and Fin.

It's been a good month.

Merlcious 3 - Anthology of Mermaid Stories

I understand today that a book that I have a mermaid story in is selling well at Midnight Showcase. Six authors in Chesapeake Romance Writers are in this anthology with me. Mermaids are the group's mascots so to speak and our nearby city, Norfolk, has a mermaid sculpture on nearly every corner.

Our conference, the annual Fantasies by the Sea is coming up November 10 with a big book signing on November 11.

New ebook- PIckup Lines from a Pickup Truck- Cowritten with Spike Fremont

I'm happy to announce that my short stories co-written with Spike Fremont, Pickup Lines from a Pickup Truck, are being released November 1st from Red Rose Publishing. They were great fun to write with him and I look forward to more co-writing in the future. I thought the cover art was especially fun because Spike has dark hair and I have long blonde hair myself.
